The SquarePlug SPX-FBK is a heavy-duty, all-metal 3-pin female XLR cable-end connector with a straight cable exit. Its compact body suits custom stage, studio, and equipment cables where connector projection matters. Listed cable options include Mogami W2534, W2549, W2552, and W2792; Canare L-2T2S and L-4E6S; and RapcoHorizon MIC1.K, subject to the jacket and termination checks below.

Sold individually. Soldering and cable assembly are required. This is not a finished cable, panel receptacle, or solderless adapter.

Choose the gender and cable exit

• SPX-FBK: Straight female, Black (this listing)

This female connector mates with a compatible male 3-pin XLR connection. Choose gender for the mating connection and circuit wiring, not simply the desired signal direction. Straight and right-angle models have different dimensions and cable-clamping requirements; check the individual listing before substituting one for another. Check cable fit and equipment clearance

The SPX-FBK's chuck-type strain relief accepts 4.5–7.0 mm cable outside diameter. Check the exact cable jacket size, conductor fit at the solder tabs, shield preparation, and assembly instructions. Diameter alone does not establish compatibility.

The listed body diameter is 22 mm, overall length is 48.5 mm, and projection when connected is 34.5 mm. Allow additional space for the cable bend, strain relief, and access to release the connection. A low-profile design does not guarantee clearance in every recessed socket or closely spaced panel.

Assembly and wiring

Follow SquarePlug's cable-preparation and four-part assembly instructions. Identify the numbered terminals and check whether a wiring diagram is shown from the mating face or solder side before soldering. Follow the connected equipment's pin assignment rather than assuming every 3-pin XLR application uses the same circuit.

Secure the outer jacket in the chuck so pulling forces are not carried by the solder joints. Keep loose strands and solder bridges clear of adjacent contacts. Check continuity, pin assignment, shield connections, and shorts before use.

The straight connector's optional side screws are for color identification, not structural assembly or cable clamping. Optional colored screws are sold separately.
