The Electro-Voice RE20 is a dynamic cardioid microphone for broadcasting, podcasting, voiceover and music recording. This Fawn Beige edition pairs the RE20’s familiar broadcast design with a smooth, voice-tailored response for close-mic speech and studio work.

More consistent tone as you move

The RE20’s Variable-D design minimizes proximity effect, helping limit the increase in bass that typically occurs when you move closer to a directional microphone. For a podcast host or announcer who shifts position while speaking, that helps maintain a more consistent tonal balance.

A heavy-duty internal pop filter helps control breath sounds during close-in voice work, while an internal element shock mount reduces vibration-induced noise. The mid-bass tone-shaping switch gives you another way to adjust the microphone’s response.
