Two B5D Popscreens Use with Pressure-Gradient Transducers

The B55D Pair of Hollow Foam Popscreens from Schoeps are designed specially for use on pressure-gradient transducers in light wind and as a close-speech guard. These popscreens are designed to be effective and only slightly influence the sound of the mic. Each is made of foam but is hollow in the middle. This leads to an enclosed air volume around your mic's capsule, just as with basket-type windscreens. Your microphone must be inserted up to the stop.

It is possible to use these popscreens on the MK 4V, MK 41V or MK 4VXS microphone capsules and the corresponding CCM Compact Condenser Microphones. Any high-frequency emphasis inherent to your microphone will be compensated for.
