Description

Build compact instrument cables and short unbalanced audio interconnects with Canare GS-4. This black, miniature 22 AWG cable uses an oxygen-free copper conductor and shield in a 4.0 mm outer diameter, making it a practical choice when you want a smaller cable for a custom wiring project.

Ordering by the foot

Sold by the foot and shipped in a continuous length. Enter the total feet needed: quantity 25 means one 25-foot piece. This is unterminated bulk cable; connectors are not included. Allow extra length for routing, termination, and service loops.

Made for compact instrument connections

GS-4 is the miniature 22 AWG alternative to Canare GS-6. Use it for short-run unbalanced guitar, keyboard, and instrument connections with connectors suited to your equipment and the cable's diameter. Plan your cable route and allow enough length for connector termination, bends, and equipment access.

Flexible construction and handling-noise control

An oxygen-free copper braided shield and carbon sleeve help control interference and microphonic handling noise. The flexible jacket makes the cable easier to route through a compact setup. Connector selection and proper termination remain important to the finished cable's performance.

Check your application before ordering

GS-4's single-conductor-and-shield construction is intended for unbalanced connections. It is not a two-conductor balanced microphone cable or a stereo cable, and it is not intended for power-amplifier-to-passive-speaker connections.

Confirm that your connectors accept a 4.0 mm cable diameter and are appropriate for your termination method. Follow the cable and connector preparation instructions, including correct handling of the carbon sleeve, to avoid an unintended connection to the signal conductor.
