The Audix NCHH Novacore is a digital UHF handheld transmitter body for vocalists, presenters, and performers. Its interchangeable capsule mount lets you select a compatible microphone capsule for the voice and application, while the aluminum body provides a familiar handheld format. This 494–542 MHz listing includes no capsule; a compatible capsule and Novacore receiver are required separately.

Select a compatible microphone capsule

The standard S-thread mount supports Audix NCEC and NCTH Novacore capsules. Other S-thread capsules may be suitable, but confirm compatibility with the NCHH rather than relying on the thread alone. The capsule determines microphone characteristics such as pickup pattern and tonal response; those are not fixed specifications of this transmitter body.

Adjust the signal for your performer

Selectable input gain settings of 0, +3, and +6 dB help match the connected capsule and voice. A low-cut filter and audio limiter offer additional signal controls. Check levels with the performer speaking or singing at the expected volume before the event; a limiter does not replace appropriate gain staging.

A power switch and mute button provide everyday control. SET/MODE buttons and a lock switch beneath the battery cover give access to setup functions, while the LCD displays operating information. Standard, Auto, and Bypass mute modes let you configure mute behavior for the application. Confirm the selected mode before handing the microphone to a performer.

Match the receiver and check wireless coverage

The NCHH uses AES-256 encrypted digital transmission with IR synchronization to a compatible Novacore receiver. Match the transmitter and receiver operating bands, select suitable frequencies, and test reception throughout the performance area. IR sync simplifies pairing but does not eliminate frequency coordination or coverage checks.

Selectable 1 mW and 10 mW RF output settings provide options for the installation. Choose the setting as part of the complete RF plan rather than treating higher output as a guarantee of interference-free operation.

Plan battery power and charging

The transmitter operates on two AA alkaline batteries or one NCLB rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Listed runtime is 9+ hours; actual operating conditions should guide your battery-change schedule.

A built-in USB-C port provides a charging connection for use with the appropriate rechargeable battery, and an optional NCC2 charging station is available. Do not attempt to recharge alkaline AA batteries. A USB-A to USB-C charging cable is included; batteries, a USB power source, and the charging station are not listed in the packing list below.
