The Audix NCBP Novacore is a compact digital UHF bodypack transmitter for presenters, clergy, performers, and broadcast talent who need to keep their hands free. Connect a compatible lavalier or headset microphone and pair the bodypack with a compatible Novacore receiver. This listing is the 494–542 MHz transmitter only; a microphone and receiver are required separately.

Choose a microphone with the right wiring

The TA3M three-pin miniature microphone input supports compatible Audix microphones, including the ADX10, L5, L5O, HT5, HT7B3P, and HT7BG3P. When selecting a microphone, confirm the specific termination and compatibility with the NCBP.

A third-party microphone needs more than a TA3F connector that physically fits. Its pinout, bias-power requirements, and signal level must also match the transmitter. Do not assume every TA3F-terminated microphone is interchangeable.

Set input level and control the microphone locally

Variable input gain from -12 to +18 dB in 6 dB steps lets you adjust the transmitter for the connected microphone and source. A low-cut filter, limiter, and phase-invert function provide additional signal controls. Set gain during a sound check with the performer speaking or singing at their expected level; a limiter is not a substitute for appropriate gain staging.

Exterior power, mute, and SET/MODE buttons keep controls accessible. A dedicated 3.5 mm TRS remote-mute input accepts a compatible latching or momentary external switch, sold separately. This is a wired control connection to the bodypack, not a second microphone input or a network-based front-of-house remote.

Match the receiver and operating band

The NCBP uses AES-256 encrypted digital transmission with IR synchronization to a compatible receiver. Match the transmitter and receiver operating bands, select suitable frequencies, and test coverage throughout the performance area. IR sync simplifies setup but does not eliminate the need for frequency coordination or reception checks.

Plan battery power and charging

The bodypack operates on two AA alkaline batteries or one NCLB rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Listed runtime is 9+ hours, but plan battery changes around your actual operating conditions rather than treating that figure as a guarantee.

A built-in USB-C port provides a charging connection for use with the appropriate rechargeable battery, and an optional NCC2 charging station is available. Do not attempt to recharge alkaline AA batteries. The included USB-A to USB-C cable is listed below; batteries, a USB power source, and the charging station are not listed as included.
