WattGate's 350i Ag HC IEC plug is the answer for those seeking perfect power performance. Fast, simple installation and loss-less performance were the focus of the 350i's design. Superior construction of the 350i Ag HC features an elegant polycarbonate rear housing in a cobalt blue with a glass filled nylon front housing. The removable insert can accommodate cable diameters from 0.300" (7.62 mm) to 0.655" (16.63 mm). Installation is simplified due to color coded, tightly-spaced, funnel shaped holes to guide the conductors into the unique Perma-Lock terminals. Perma-Lock terminals work in the following way: As the terminal screw tightens down on the contact tang, it compresses the wire underneath the tang, causing the screw to exert an upward lift of the collar overleaf. This lifting action "locks up" the threads screws. Stress on the terminals is virtually eliminated. Heat cycling and vibration cannot loosen the screw. The real secret behind the 350i Ag HC lies in the contact elements themselves. Super thick contact tangs are used along with a three-layer plating process: Oxygen free copper plating, electrolysis nickel, and finally silver plating dramatically improves conductivity and prevents corrosion. Plug is cryogenically treated, rated to 120 VAC, 20A, and accepts up to 10 gauge wire.

After ten years of researching cryogenic technology, we now cryogenically treat our Wattgate line of products in house. Years of testing different methods and processes within the cryogenic field have led us to develop our own optimized approach.

Our method of Deep Cryogenic Treatment(DCT) is of the indirect or dry type. A specially optimized cycling method is employed to achieve maximum benefit for our products. With the indirect or dry process the parts are never subject to direct contact with liquid nitrogen, avoiding thermal shock to the materials. The process takes between four and five days to complete. We have truly enjoyed the sonic results of this process, we think you will too.
