Quantity 1 = 1 foot; quantity 10 = one continuous 10-foot piece. Cut individual sections to suit your assembly, allowing for the listed longitudinal change.

Sizing and installation

The tubing must pass over the largest part before heating and recover sufficiently to grip the covered section. Measure the cable, joint or connector rather than choosing by wire gauge alone. The 2:1 ratio describes diameter recovery, not half the length.

The original size description is 1/8 inch (3.5 mm). Treat 1/8 inch as a nominal designation, not an exact conversion of 3.5 mm. Confirm expanded and fully recovered inside-diameter limits if fit is critical. Install before fitting a connector if tubing cannot pass over it afterward. Do not assume an adhesive-lined or watertight seal.

Apply controlled heat evenly following manufacturer instructions. Minimum listed shrink temperature is 90°C; check surrounding components' heat limits. Avoid overheating, let the assembly cool and inspect coverage and fit. Tubing does not replace mechanical connector strain relief.
