The Rolls PM61 Personal Monitor Amp with EQ combines an XLR microphone signal with a stereo or mono 1/4-inch monitor input for headphone listening. Separate microphone and monitor level controls let you set a local balance, while a four-band EQ provides tonal adjustment for your monitoring setup.

Hear your own performance alongside the mix

Connect your microphone and a suitable line-level monitor feed to hear both through the PM61. A singer can bring their voice forward against the backing mix, or a performer can monitor an external click source alongside other audio using appropriate source connections. The PM61 mixes connected signals; it does not generate click tracks or record audio.

Adjust tone as well as level

The four-band EQ gives you more control than source balance alone. Make small adjustments while listening, and leave headroom when boosting frequencies to avoid overloading the signal path. EQ can change tonal balance, but it cannot remove every source of noise or replace a well-prepared monitor feed.

Keep the XLR source connected onward

An XLR pass-through provides a connection for sending the XLR source to suitable receiving equipment. It is a source pass-through, not an output of the complete headphone mix. Use the local microphone and monitor controls for your listening balance rather than treating them as the main system's mix controls.

If your microphone requires phantom power, confirm the power supply and pass-through arrangement with the manufacturer's instructions and connected equipment. Do not assume the PM61 generates phantom power.

Match the monitor wiring to your source

The 1/4-inch monitor input supports mono or stereo operation with appropriate TS or TRS connections. Follow the manufacturer's configuration instructions: a TRS stereo signal uses the connector differently from a balanced mono signal. Use a suitable line-level feed, not a power amplifier's speaker output.

Two headphone output jacks provide connections for monitoring. Two jacks do not establish independently adjustable mixes for two listeners. Begin with low listening levels and raise them gradually to a comfortable volume.
