Compression style banana plugs always suffered from a poor design causing the wire strands to bind up in the threads when assembling the connector. This connector eliminates the need to frequently remove the connector shell and trim the wire strands as you assemble the cable.

To use, simply remove the plug from the shell, strip about 1/4" of insulation from the wire and twist the strands together. Push the wire through the center of the connector shell and flair out the wire strands. The design of this connector keeps the wire strands from binding up on the threads when assembling the connector. The teeth keep the wire securely in place for reliable operation. Sold two pair per package, two with red rings and two with black rings. Dimensions: 1-5/8" L, 5/8" Dia. Accepts up to 12 AWG wire.

Note: For the highest retention force, solder conductors in place after fanning them over the teeth of the connector. Only use enough solder to cover the teeth of the connector, to prevent "blocking" the installation of the top of the connector.
