Description

Custom CBI BW-MPA-6 6-Channel TS-to-TS Audio Snake

Keep six unbalanced analog audio connections together in one organized cable run. Performance Audio custom builds this snake using CBI BW-MPA-6 audio snake cable and professional 1/4-inch TS connectors for connections between compatible keyboards, mixers, interfaces, processors, and other unbalanced audio equipment.

Built for Your Connections

  • CBI BW-MPA-6 6-channel audio snake cable.
  • Six separate 1/4-inch TS-to-TS paths for compatible unbalanced mono analog audio connections.
  • Professional connector options available through the build configuration.
  • Custom-built finished assembly, not unterminated bulk snake cable.
  • Custom labeling and finishing options. Ask about channel color coding for your build.
  • Lifetime warranty.

Six Separate Unbalanced Mono Paths

Each channel connects one compatible unbalanced mono output to one input. Use two channels for a left/right stereo line-level connection; six channels can organize three stereo pairs or six independent mono connections. Assign each channel to its own source and destination.

The paths remain separate. This snake does not mix, sum, split, amplify, or convert signals, and it does not provide transformer isolation. TS terminations make these unbalanced connections; the underlying snake cable does not turn them into balanced signal paths.

Check Socket Function and Signal Level

Match source output levels to destination input requirements and confirm that each socket accepts the intended TS connection. A 1/4-inch socket may serve balanced mono audio, stereo headphones, an insert send/return, or a speaker connection. Connector fit alone does not establish compatibility.

Before connecting a balanced output to this unbalanced assembly, check the equipment manufacturer's wiring guidance. Some output designs require specific treatment of the unused balanced leg. Do not assume that every balanced output can safely use the same TS wiring.

This is not a stereo headphone splitter or an insert breakout. Do not use a TS plug to combine a stereo output's left and right channels. The snake does not convert between instrument, microphone, and line levels. For passive guitars, basses, or other high-impedance sources, discuss the cable length and application with our specialists; a shorter dedicated instrument cable, buffer, or DI arrangement may be more appropriate.

This assembly is for analog audio, not digital or control signals. Never use it between a power amplifier's speaker outputs and passive speakers.

Plan Length and Breakout Reach

Measure the full routing path with room for bends, service slack, and access behind equipment. Keep unbalanced runs as short as practical for the setup and route them away from potential interference sources where possible. This cable does not eliminate ground-loop noise or provide the noise rejection of a balanced connection.

Check the spacing of all six sockets at both ends and allow enough breakout reach to connect them without pulling on the plugs, especially across several devices. Confirm connector clearance and discuss special breakout lengths, channel mapping, or wiring requirements before the build.

Custom Labels and Channel Identification

Label channels by number, left and right, connected equipment, or destination to simplify setup and troubleshooting. Ask about channel color-coding options and provide your preferred label text and channel assignments when discussing the configuration. Keep a record of each channel's source and destination.

Installation and Handling

Support the main cable and breakouts so equipment sockets do not carry the cable's weight. Avoid tight bends, pinching, and tension at breakout points. Leave enough access for connection and removal, and disconnect by the connector body rather than pulling on the cable. Mute the relevant channels before patching and check every channel's routing and operation before putting the system into service.

Customization Help

If the website's configuration options do not cover your needs, call or email Performance Audio's custom cable specialists. Provide your equipment models, signal application, cable length, breakout reach, connector-clearance needs, and any special mapping, labeling, finishing, or wiring requests so we can confirm the build details. Confirm pricing and the build timeline before ordering if you have a deadline.
