Description

Custom Mogami W2931 4-Channel Audio Snake, Configured per Channel

Bring four analog audio connections into one organized cable run, with each channel configured for the equipment it connects. Custom built to order by Performance Audio using Mogami W2931 4-channel audio snake cable and genuine Neutrik connectors, this assembly helps tidy connections in studio racks, recording setups, and live audio systems.

Configure Each Channel Individually

This listing lets you configure individual channels rather than choosing one preconfigured connector arrangement for an entire side. Plan the connector needed at each end of channels 1 through 4, then select from the options available in the builder. Confirm connector types, XLR genders where applicable, and channel assignments against your equipment before ordering.

If your required combination is not available online, contact our custom cable specialists with your equipment models and connection plan. Confirm any special wiring or pinout requirements before the build rather than relying on connector fit alone.

Built for Your Setup

  • Cable: Mogami W2931 4-channel audio snake cable.
  • Connectors: Genuine Neutrik connectors, selected from the available configuration options.
  • Per-channel configuration: Plan each channel's connections individually to match your equipment.
  • Finished assembly: Custom made to order, not unterminated W2931 bulk cable.
  • Identification and finishing: Custom labeling and finishing options available. Ask about channel color coding for your build.
  • Warranty: Lifetime warranty.

Four Separate Audio Paths

The four channels remain separate. Use them for compatible analog microphone or line-level connections as appropriate for the selected connectors, wiring, and equipment. The snake does not mix, sum, split, convert signal levels, provide microphone preamplification, or replace a DI box or isolation transformer.

For balanced mono connections, each channel carries one audio signal. A stereo line-level connection uses two channels, one for left and one for right. Balanced operation requires suitable connectors, wiring, and balanced equipment throughout the connection; an unbalanced termination does not become balanced simply because it is part of a multichannel snake.

Check Socket Function and Signal Compatibility

Match each source's output level to its destination input. An XLR microphone input and an XLR line input are not interchangeable simply because the plug fits. Where 1/4" TRS connectors are selected, confirm that the sockets are intended for balanced mono audio rather than stereo headphones or an insert send/return connection.

For microphones requiring phantom power, confirm that the microphone, receiving input, and complete wiring path support the required power arrangement. Keep phantom power off on connections to line-level or unbalanced equipment unless its manufacturer explicitly permits that use. Mute the relevant channels and follow the equipment manufacturer's connection procedure before patching.

This listing is for an analog audio snake. Do not assume suitability for AES/EBU digital audio, DMX, or other control formats based on connector fit. It is not a speaker cable; never use it between a power amplifier's speaker outputs and passive speakers.

Plan Your Length and Breakout Reach

Measure the complete routing path with room for bends, service slack, and access behind equipment. Check how far apart the four sockets are at each end and allow enough breakout reach to connect them without strain, particularly when channels run to different devices.

Check connector-body clearance around recessed or closely spaced sockets, including access to XLR release latches where applicable. Confirm any special breakout lengths, connector orientation, channel mapping, or wiring requirements with our custom cable specialists before the build.

Custom Labels and Channel Identification

Label channels by number, left and right, connected equipment, or destination to make setup and troubleshooting easier. Ask about channel color-coding options and provide your preferred label text and channel assignments when discussing the configuration. Keep a channel map showing the source, destination, and connector arrangement for every path.

Installation and Handling

Support the main cable and breakouts so equipment sockets do not carry the cable's weight. Avoid tight bends, pinching, and tension at breakout points. Leave enough access for connection and removal, release connector latches where fitted, and disconnect by the connector body rather than pulling on the cable. Check every channel's routing and operation before putting the system into service.

Customization Help

If the website's configuration options do not cover your needs, call or email Performance Audio's custom cable specialists. Provide your equipment models, signal levels, connector types and genders for each channel, cable length, breakout reach, and any special mapping, labeling, finishing, or wiring requests so we can confirm the build details. Confirm pricing and the build timeline before ordering if you have a deadline.
