Description

Custom Canare MS202-4P 4-Channel Audio Snake, Configurable per Side

Keep four separate audio paths together in one organized cable run, with an easy-to-select connector arrangement for each side. Performance Audio builds this custom snake to order using Canare MS202-4P audio snake cable and genuine Neutrik connectors, helping simplify patching between compatible equipment in your studio, rack, or live-sound setup.

Built for Your Connections

  • Cable: Canare MS202-4P 4-channel audio snake cable.
  • Configuration: Choose from the available preconfigured connector arrangements for each side, rather than selecting connectors individually for every channel.
  • Connectors: Genuine Neutrik connectors. Confirm the connector types and genders in your selected arrangement at both ends.
  • Custom build: Finished cable assembly made to order, not unterminated MS202-4P bulk cable.
  • Identification and finishing: Custom labeling and finishing options available. Ask about channel color coding for your build.
  • Warranty: Lifetime warranty.

Plan Each Side Before Ordering

List the source and destination equipment for all four channels, including the socket types, connector genders, and signal levels. Select the available arrangement for each side that matches those connections. If you need a combination not covered by the presets, contact our custom cable specialists before ordering.

For a stereo pair, assign one channel to left and another to right. The four paths remain separate and do not mix, sum, or split signals. Keep a record of which source connects to each destination.

Connector fit alone does not establish compatibility. Balanced or unbalanced operation depends on the connected equipment and finished wiring, not simply the cable or connector shape. If your selected arrangement uses TRS connectors, confirm whether the equipment expects balanced mono audio, stereo headphone audio, or an insert send/return connection. These uses are not interchangeable.

This passive snake does not convert signal levels, provide microphone preamplification, or replace a DI box or isolation transformer. Confirm any special wiring and equipment requirements with our custom cable specialists before the build. Enable phantom power only when the connected devices and complete wiring path support it.

Select connections appropriate to the analog audio signals being carried. Do not assume suitability for AES/EBU digital audio, DMX, network audio, or other control formats solely because the connectors fit. This is an audio signal snake, not a speaker cable; never use it between a power amplifier's speaker outputs and passive speakers.

Choose Your Length and Breakout Reach

Measure the full routing path with room for bends, service slack, and access behind equipment. Check the reach required at both ends so all four channels connect without tension, especially when sockets are spread across different devices.

Allow clearance around recessed or closely spaced jacks and room to operate connector latches where applicable. Confirm any special breakout lengths, connector orientation, or channel-mapping requirements before ordering. The finished length and connector arrangement depend on your selected build options.

Custom Labels and Channel Identification

Label channels by number, left and right, connected equipment, or destination to make setup and troubleshooting easier. Ask about channel color-coding options and provide your preferred label text and channel assignments when discussing the configuration. Keep a record of each channel's source, destination, and any special wiring.

Installation and Handling

Support the main cable and breakouts so equipment sockets do not carry the cable's weight. Avoid tight bends, pinching, and tension at breakout points. Leave enough access for connection and removal, release any connector latch, and disconnect by the connector body rather than pulling on the cable.

Check the routing and operation of every channel with your actual equipment before putting the system into service.

Customization Help

If the website's configuration options do not cover your needs, call or email Performance Audio's custom cable specialists. Provide your equipment models, connector requirements for each side, signal types and levels, cable length, breakout reach, and any special mapping, labeling, finishing, or wiring requests so we can confirm the build details. Confirm pricing and the build timeline before ordering if you have a deadline.
