Description

Custom Mogami W2930 2-Channel XLR-to-1/4" TRS Audio Snake

Connect compatible XLR and 1/4" TRS equipment while keeping two balanced analog audio paths together in one organized cable run. Custom built to order by Performance Audio using Mogami W2930 audio snake cable and professional connectors, this assembly helps tidy connections in your studio, rack, or live-sound setup.

Built for Your Connections

  • Cable: Mogami W2930 2-channel audio snake cable.
  • Connection format: Two separate XLR-to-1/4" TRS signal paths for compatible balanced mono analog audio connections.
  • Connector selection: Choose from the connector options available for this build. Confirm the required XLR gender and connector clearance at both ends.
  • Custom build: Finished cable assembly made to order, not unterminated W2930 bulk cable.
  • Identification and finishing: Custom labeling and finishing options are available. Ask about channel color coding for your build.
  • Warranty: Lifetime warranty.

Match the Cable to Your Equipment

Connect compatible balanced XLR outputs to suitable 1/4" TRS inputs, or compatible balanced TRS outputs to suitable XLR inputs, with the appropriate XLR gender for your equipment. Applications can include line-level connections between audio interfaces, mixers, outboard processors, and powered studio monitors. For a stereo pair, use one cable channel for the left signal and the other for the right.

Each TRS connector carries one balanced mono signal in this application, not separate left and right stereo channels. A TRS socket may instead be wired for headphones or an insert, so confirm its function before ordering. This snake is not an insert breakout or a headphone splitter.

Check signal levels and input types at both ends. An XLR connector does not necessarily indicate a microphone-level connection, and adapting between XLR and TRS does not convert microphone level to line level or provide microphone preamplification. Balanced operation depends on the wiring and connected equipment.

This snake keeps the two signal paths separate; it does not mix, split, or convert audio signals. Do not assume suitability for AES/EBU digital audio, network or control signals, or speaker-level power solely because the connectors fit. Never use it between a power amplifier's speaker outputs and passive speakers.

Plan Your Cable Route and Breakout Reach

Measure the complete routing path, allowing room for bends, service slack, and access behind equipment. Check the breakout reach needed at each end so both channels connect without pulling on the connectors. Allow clearance around recessed or closely spaced TRS jacks and room to operate XLR latches where applicable.

Confirm any special breakout-length, channel-mapping, or wiring requirements with our custom cable specialists before the build. Keep a record of which source connects to each destination for installation and troubleshooting.

Custom Labels and Channel Identification

Label channels by number, left and right, connected equipment, or destination to make patching and troubleshooting easier. Ask about channel color-coding options and provide your preferred label text and channel assignments when discussing the configuration.

Installation and Handling

Support the main cable and breakouts so equipment sockets do not carry the cable's weight. Leave enough access for connection and removal, avoid tight bends or pinching, and disconnect by the connector body rather than pulling on the cable. Release any XLR latch before removal. Check both channels' routing and operation before putting the system into service.

Customization Help

If the website's configuration options do not cover your needs, call or email Performance Audio's custom cable specialists. Provide your equipment models, required XLR genders, cable length, breakout reach, connector preferences, and any special mapping, labeling, finishing, or wiring requests so we can confirm the build details. Confirm pricing and the build timeline before ordering if you have a deadline.
