You’ve had some ideas swirling around your head, and you’ve finally decided to take the plunge and record them—congratulations! It’s one thing to have an idea for a podcast or a song, but to put pen to paper, or rather in this case, binary code to hard drive, takes a certain amount of resolve and commitment. So now what? Mind-reading computers don’t officially exist yet, though Facebook’s targeted ads lead me to question that notion, so you’re going to need a way to get audio into your computer. Coming up, we’ll discuss the equipment you’ll need to start recording podcasts and music, and get more in-depth with subsequent posts.
