The JG8 Series family of power and light modules includes three great, economical models that are valuable accessories for any rack mounted system. The eight switched AC power outlets on the back of each unit provide a full 1800 watts of power while the discreet components inside provide a base level of equipment protection against dangerous voltage spikes. JG8 Series products are designed, produced and priced to provide quality and convenience within the limits of an everyday budget. Plus, the outlets on the back are rotated to better accommodate "wall wart" power supplies.

LIGHTS The JG8.0L and JG8.0LM feature two metal encased, slide out light modules. These lights can be dimmed and rotated to control the intensity and direction of the two light beams. After use, the lights slide into the chassis to store conveniently away. The "night light" style bulbs install from the front of each light tube assembly.

METER The JG8.0LM also includes a 20 segment voltage meter that indicates levels of incoming AC voltage. This color coded meter displays safe (green), marginal (yellow) and dangerous (red) levels of incoming voltage. This meter can help diagnose problems that result from common AC power sags and surges.

LINE NOISE AND SPIKE PROTECTION In March 2003 Juice Goose tripled the level of power protection in the JG Series products. The models now provide base level component protection across all three incoming power leads to help reduce annoying AC line noise and protect against high voltage spikes that can damage equipment. A matrix of three fast acting metal oxide varistors combined with a frequency interference filter capacitor work to clean the AC.
