CONNECTIVITY AND CURRENT Both of the JG11s feature 11 AC receptacles, including an unswitched outlet on the back as well as one on the front. All outlet receptacles are NEMA 5/15R, rated at 15 amps each and are rotated to better accommodate "wall wart" power supplies. While each of the outlets is rated for 15 amps the overall rating of the JG11.0-20A is 20 amps. This extra capacity coupled with 11 outlets makes this product a real work horse for high density power requirements. Because of this higher current rating the JG11.0-20A features a 12 gauge power cord with a NEMA 5-20P plug which will not fit into a 15 amp receptacle. For lower current but high connectivity requirements, the JG11.0-15A contains all the features of the 20 amp model, but with a 15 amp rating and, therefore, a 15 amp power cord.

LONGER POWER CORD The power cord on the JG11 is an accommodating 14 3/4 feet long to allow its use in difficult to reach applications. NOTE: due to the 20 amp rating of the JG11.0-20A the power cord has a NEMA 5-20P plug which requires a 20 amp receptacle for connection to main power. This plug is not compatible with wall receptacles rated at 15 amps.

LINE NOISE AND SPIKE PROTECTION The Juice Goose JG Series products provide base level component protection across all three incoming power leads to help reduce annoying AC line noise and protect against high voltage spikes that can damage equipment. A matrix of three fast acting metal oxide varistors combined with a frequency interference filter capacitor work to clean the AC.

UP FRONT CIRCUIT BREAKER The JG11.0 features a circuit breaker mounted on the front of the chassis to protect against current overload. Resetting the breaker in the event of an overload is easy. Circuit breakers are rated at either 15 amps or 20 amps, depending on the model.
