Where the full-sized X-Line meets the acoustical demands of the largest venues and arenas, the X-Line Compact (XLC) is designed to provide equally outstanding sonic quality in a wide variety of venues of varying sizes, all with exceptionally easy setup and transportation. Whether heard at a medium-sized festival, in a large concert hall or
house of worship, or as a supplementary system used with X-Line at the world's largest events, XLC has a proven performance record
second to none in its class. No wonder it is one of the world's most popular
line array systems.
The latest additions to XLC are based on the all-new DVX
transducer platform: the
Xlc127DVX full range system and the
Xlc215 LF/sub
element featuring two DVX3150 woofers. The
Xlc127DVX is a step up from the 127+: it utilizes the same high output ND6-HYDRA HF section, but provides more LF capability with the DVX3121 12-inch forced-air-cooled LF
driver, along with lower distortion and more
headroom in the mid range with the new DVN2065 mid-
bass woofers. Both new XLC-DVX models are available as installation versions, with simplified rigging for permanent installations. Existing XLC127+ systems can be easily upgraded to XLC127DVX--please contact your local EV service representative for details.
EV engineers have defined a new group of compact
line array elements, the XLC. It is comprised of three components - XLC 127+ full range with ND6-16 large format high
frequency transducers and two
subwoofer systems. The XLC 118 sub cabinet uses an EVX-180B, and the XLC 215 uses two DVX3150's. Both are true sub-
bass systems designed for high-
level, extended low
frequency output. They share the same enclosure footprint and rigging is identical to that of other XLC systems, allowing flexible
subwoofer integration with full range arrays requiring extended low
frequency response. With a height 1.5 times that of the XLC 127+, a
subwoofer array can be flown side by side with column appearances similar to the main array using a ratio of 2 subs for every 3 full range boxes.
Subwoofer systems can also be placed at the top or bottom of full range arrays for seamless arrayed 4-way system integration. Designed for use in groups of two or more the
Subwoofer delivers predictability and control. Combined with an advanced integrated rigging system, one-man installations are a reality. The
subwoofer systems can also be
ground stacked. Ideal for applications ranging from live reinforcement to performing arts venues to houses of worship to sports facilities, XLC gives you the power to make it happen. XLC can deliver unprecedented performance, particularly in difficult acoustical environments.
